At the core, our main belief is that "it takes a golden heart," to NOT ignore the plight of poverty around the world. It takes courage to answer the call of duty and help children and families withstand its devastating effects. 

20 plus years ago, our Founder and President, Fanta Sesay, unofficially began this philanthropic movement by aiding in the fight on the war against poverty in West Africa. She didn't have much when she started; just a golden heart and a vision of a better Africa in mind.

Armed with years of nursing experience in the United States, she knew that she could use her skills as a powerful tool to help the less fortunate people of her native land - Sierra Leone.  Using what she had, she began by providing medical supplies for the youth, pregnant, sick and elderly. 

She has provided over 500 Sustainability Grants in the form of food/housing assistance, educational scholarships, medical bill assistance and start-up/expansion business grants. All "singlehandedly" and "unofficially." 

On one of her "unofficial" mission trips to an orphanage in West Africa, she came across a harsh reality that led to the eventual founding of our official non-profit organization. 

After distributing school supplies (donated by her youngest son) to 44 children at an orphanage, she looked around and realized there were 50+ other orphans crying because they felt they had been left out.  She explained to the children why there simply was not enough to go around this time. That very day, she made a promise to them that their gift was on the way.  

Witnessing this experience broke her heart, but further strengthened her resolve.

She knew that her capacity to help was limited. As her "unofficial" angel operations on the ground grew, so did the need for awareness & support. So, she sent out a call for help and the community began to answer. 

This call to action has bought aboard others who share that same golden heart. And with their support, her love for humanity has grown and deeply and inspired others. She hopes to continue enlisting  assistance for a greater impact on the world. 

Ultimately, it is her solemn wish to utilize this platform to raise awareness about the issues and solicit further support in the cause. She hopes to leave this organization as a sustainable legacy that will live on beyond her days.

Deep down, what unites us ALL is our love for humanity and our beautiful golden hearts!

As it is said, the best "charity begins at home" first. Therefore, our current efforts are focused in our home countries in The Republics of Guinea and Sierra Leone. We intend to extend our help to children in other countries located throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, based upon the availability of capital & resources at our disposal.

Our Main Goal is Simple - 

Change the life of many children by addressing the root cause; COMMUNITY POVERTY. 

Through yearly mission trips, we help communities to BUILD, RUN, and LEAD Community Centers of Excellence.

In doing so, we establish a seed in the community that will grow into a sustainable solution for the children now and the future generations to come.
