What is a Center of Excellence?    

A center of excellence (COE) is a team, a shared facility or an entity that provides leadership, best practices, research, support and/or training for a focus area. - Wikipedia

Simply stated, it is a place where the community can go to continuously strive for excellence. 

Generally, COE is a central meeting place that provides necessary skills based training to children and adults. Specifically, the goal of the CSP Center of Excellence (COE) is to produce well rounded children who will grow to become the future leaders of their communities. 

Our Center of Excellence's are sustainable community centers BUILT, RAN, and LED by the community to foster the growth of these future leaders of Africa; OUR CHILDREN. Our ultimate purpose is to provide an empowering, long-term & self-sustainable solution to the issues of poverty in the villages we impact. 

(COE) Sustainable Program Initiatives:

• After-School Program (Current)
• Education is the COE's form of providing life-changing opportunities. It is a FUN and fully immersive educational experience for children. Our program model is designed to be STEM/STEAM-based compatible to simulate the experience that children of the same age group have in the Western world. 
• The after-school program serves as a supplement to the current local school education. The lessons and activities are specifically designed to enhance the quality of education for the children who attend. 
  • 1 FREE Nutritious Meal & 1 FREE Snack Served Daily 
  • Curriculum
    • Homework/Tutoring Assistance
    • STEM/STEAM Activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math)
    • Language (English & French Immersion) - To increase literacy rates to 100%.
    • History (World & Local Community Based)
    • Extracurricular Activities (Soccer Team, Games, etc...)
    • Student Library

• Summer Camp (Future)
• Adult Education Programs (Future)

The center operates 5 days a week. Each center is intended to serve a minimum of 60 school attending children. Our first established center is located in Fadama, Guinea.

The support of local community leaders, allows this initiative to be possible. We take an integrative approach to the goal of sustainability. Our approach merges active community-based involvement with access to the necessary resources and tools to provide an environment of full sustainability.
